Em Brulée is a professional vintage jazz and blues vocalist, burlesque and cabaret compère and show-woman extraordinaire.
An incredibly passionate performer, Em loves nothing more than to entertain, surrendering to the joy of the music and creating an ambience of high vintage glamour and high jinks at every opportunity.

In her vocal performances Em takes inspiration from charismatic and soulful Divas of years gone by: Big Mama Thornton, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald, Nina Simone, Sarah Vaughan, Laverne Baker, Ruth Brown and Dinah Washington to name but a few of these.

Em is a singer/songwriter and recording artist in her own right and has performed to audiences nationwide and abroad as a solo artist and with renowned swing bands The Do-Rite Trio, TC & the Swingcats and The Cat Pack.

Career highlights so far include a key role in the BBC’s televised Symphony for Yorkshire, featuring with U-Sef on the soundtrack of American film ‘Bully’ and on the Ghostface Killah’s mix tape with ‘God’s Gonna Cut you Down’ and an appearance on BBC’s The Voice 2012. This year Em will feature with U-Sef and Stumik Icewater on The Rizin Son’s new Hip Hop EP ‘Bread and Circuses’.
